There are about 325,000 deaths of adults in the United States from sudden cardiac death each year (Cleveland Clinic, 2015).
In the U.S., sudden cardiac death is the biggest natural cause of death (
Cleveland Clinic, 2015).
Sudden cardiac death is the cause of 50% of heart disease deaths (
Cleveland Clinic, 2015).
It is most frequently
occurring
in adults that are ages 35-45 or so (

1-2 children are affected per 100,000 children (
Cleveland Clinic, 2015).
Previous heart attacks are associated to 75% of SCD cases (Cleveland Clinic, 2015)
80% of sudden cardiac death cases are related with coronary artery disease (Cleveland Clinic, 2015).
